Happy Thanksgiving to all! It’s a busy day of cooking (and subsequent eating) up in here, and as much as I love a good bloggy day, there are some things you just can’t get from ye ole computer screen. But before I head back to the kitchen for another round, here’s a list of what I’m thankful for (it is Thanksgiving, y’all)
1. My family: Best in town. Best on planet. Best in show. Yep, they’re right up there with the Bradys for lovability and awesomeness (but not for cool ’70s dos, unfortunately). Love, love, love.
2. My pup: OK, she’s most certainly family, but that fuzz ball deserves a spot all her own.
3. My friends: No shortage of love on this non-gravy train today. Friends make the world go ’round.
4. The holidays: My favorite time of year, when everyone’s a little bit kinder, a little bit happier and a whole lot warm-and-fuzzier. Any season that begs you to bundle is love-y and snuggly by default.
There you have it: sweet and simple — just like pumpkin pie.
Here’s hoping your tummy’s filled with food and your heart’s filled with thanks. What are you thankful for?
XO,
Katrina
Yes, that’ s a handmade (bahaha!) turkey you see pictured above. Haven’t made one since grade school? Give it a whirl! It’s a gobble gobble good time.

Our love from Moberly and Macon. I am making the good old green bean casserole. I am adding a lightly new twist, but it will all taste about the same. We haven’t had it for awhile (been doing the fried green bean thing), so it will be a good change. Brenda is doing the turkey (smoked). It will be good.
Thankful for all our family and the joy that we share. As Tiny Tim said, “God bless us all.” If that isn’t a direct quote, it is pretty close.
