And baby makes four

Well, it’s official. Our little family of three is now a little family of four (we are counting Ella pup, of course). Last week, a 6-pound-4.4-ounce bundle of love bounced her way into the world, and our lives are infinitely better because of it. Every minute that’s gone by since she made her debut has been filled with more love, more happiness, more I-can’t-believe-she’s-really-ours moments than either of us could have imagined. I know I’m new on the job, but being a parent really is the best gig in the world, and I can’t get over how special it feels to see the best of both of us all wrapped up in a tiny blanket. This baby girl melted our hearts in an instant — even Ella seems quite smitten — and though I’m sure I’m floating on a cloud of new-baby love, it’s hard to imagine anything better.
