It seems I’ve unintentionally ordered this week’s wrappings in increasing order of easy peasy-ness because today’s method is the simplest yet. Despite its simplicity, it’s one of my favorites. Talk about cute as a button.
The snazziness of this wrapping really depends on the kind of buttons you choose to use. You can keep it classic with a row of matching buttons in varying sizes or throw in some quirky shapes and a blend of colors to make things more exciting. But don’t start swiping button noses from any nearby Frosties. That’s just mean.
What you’ll need:
• simple wrapping paper
• buttons
• twine
How to do it:
String buttons on a thin piece of twine, tie the twine around a wrapped present, and slide button embellishment to desired position on the package. Ta da!
Well, that wraps up Wrapping Week. Har har! Hope your holiday to-do lists are coming along. And I hope those lists include bunches of time with friends and family. ‘Tis the peeps and not the presents that are the best part of the season.
XO,
Katrina

I love all your ideas! I am almost done with all my wrapping so I’ll not be using any of your ideas – this time. I will definitely try them though.
I remember those Lillian Vernon catalogs; I always loved dreaming, too!

Glad to know I’m not the only one who got all googly eyed for those catalogs! They were the best!

I love the button + brown paper idea. I have a HUGE roll of it that I’m always using on different projects, and this seems like a really great, unexpected way to add texture. Thanks for sharing!

I agree! The brown paper has great texture and can be used for so many things!
