For the past three mornings in a row, Jared and I have woken to the sound of Beany’s little voice coming through the baby monitor.
“It’s another day! I need to talk to my baby brother. Hi, my big boy! Did you have good dreams? I will give you my buddies.”
This is our cue to jump out of bed and see what’s going on. Because “give you my buddies” means that Bear will soon be surrounded by a heap of stuffed animals, a snowman blanket, a photo of our family, maybe a car or two. Beany works fast, so by the time we get there, the crib is already filled with her most prized possessions. And there’s Bear, just giggling amongst friends.
“I need to talk to my baby brother.” She probably says it 10 times a day. They’re becoming such good pals already. And that makes my heart pretty happy.
XO,
Katrina

That is soooo precious. It sounds as if they will be great friends.

They already are! No one makes Bear smile quite like his sister. 🙂
