Well, 2015 is here, guys, which is wonderful. But that also means 2014 is over, and I’ve been having a bit of a hard time letting it go. It was a good, good year, filled with lots of the best kinds of changes. And now here we are, with the very last pictures of this 52-week project. Time and kids. They don’t stand still for long.
Bear: Our little boy is now days away from being 10 months old, and I still get teary-eyed thinking about how much more amazing our lives have been since he joined our family. In 2014, we watched Bear grow from a tiny newborn into a busy, nearly 1-year-old boy whose disposition is still that same magical mixture of sweet, easygoing and happy. I think this photo might be my favorite of Bear all year because it’s such a picture of that personality. (I also love how reminiscent it is of Beany’s very first picture from this photo project. Amazing, right?)
Beany: Just as great as watching Bear grow this year has been watching Beany become such a caring and attentive big sister. She loves her brother more than I think we could have ever anticipated, and from the moment she wakes up until the moment she goes to bed, she’s talking to him, playing with him and telling him how the world works. If Bear has the magical mixture of sweet and easygoing, then Beany has the best blend of kindness and enthusiasm. She loves everyone and everything, and she does so with the kind energy and gusto that grownups dream of bottling. She’s a clever and curious little thing, too, who craves new experiences and is always asking for answers and explanations.
I hope 2014 was a good one for all of you. Here’s hoping 2015 is the best yet! Happy New Year!
XO,
Katrina

Thanks! It’s been so fun to do! And so fun to look back at all of them now that the year is over. 🙂
